Linkin Park
Linkin Park is an American rock band formed in 1996 under the name Xero and performing music primarily in the styles of alternative metal, nu metal and rap metal, alternative rock, electronica rock, pop and pop rock.
The name of the band Linkin Park is familiar even to those who know nothing about American rock music. Their albums received gold and platinum statuses, and each record was an experiment with new genres and styles. The death of the lead singer did not cut off the creativity of Linkin Park, at least the remaining members say that it is too early to put a cross on the group.
The white streak in the history of the band began only when Chester Bennington decided to join them. A simple guy who worked part-time in “Burger King”, discovered a bright musical talent and the ability of an organizer. The luxurious vocals of the new member enriched the sound of the songs and encouraged others to work on new compositions and arrangements.
In 1999, the label Warner Bros. Records offered the collective a contract. Then they created a debut album in the spirit of rap metal, the title of which coincided with the name of the collective. The release of the first record turned out to be a triumph: copies continue to be sold to this day (cumulative circulation exceeded 30 million), and the song Crawlling brought the musicians their first Grammy Award.
The band existed as a full band until 2017, when lead singer Ster Bennington passed away. In 2018, Michael Shinoda, retweeting fans, said that the band has no plans to break up now and has “plans to rebuild”,
