Zayn

Zayn Jawadd Malik, better known as Zayn, is a British singer of Pakistani-English descent, model and composer. In 2010, Malik tried out as a solo performer on The X Factor show.

In 2010, Malik arrived in Manchester to try his luck on The X Factor show. The aspiring singer performed Let Me Love You, which won over the audience and jury members. Thus, Zayn made it to the next stage of the competition. The guy said that he gained experience, and dropped out of the show before the finals, but the talented young man was noticed by Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell, who offered Zayn to be a part of a new band formed from the show participants.

Later, the boy band became known to the multi-million dollar army of viewers under the name One Direction. Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Zayn signed a contract with Simon Cowell’s record company Syco Music. In September 2011, the boys debuted with the single What Makes You Beautiful.

On November 17, 2014, the band released their fourth studio album, which was as good as the previous three. But later Zayn Malik, who decided to go solo, left the music group, other members of the boyband were unhappy with their colleague’s decision. The last performance of One Direction in full composition took place on March 18, 2015.
