Biography

Sting is a legendary British rock singer who gained worldwide fame thanks to his solo career. The artist became a symbol of the generation that started listening to music in the 80-90s. Even today he remains a personality whose songs and deeds fans learn to be happy in life.

Sting’s solo career opened a new page in his creative biography and immediately began with a great success: the disk Dream of the Blue Turtles sold millions of copies in Europe and abroad. The jazz style of performance, the use of musical motifs from Sergei Prokofiev’s suite in the Russians hit song made Sting stand out among other rock singers.

Soon the musician went on an international tour. During the tour he created a second solo compilation, Nothing Like The Sun, the hit of which was the song Englishman In New York, presented later as a single.

The singer enlisted the help of international stars such as Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler and Andy Summers to record new hits. The early 90’s albums Soul Cages and Ten Summoner’s Tales, featuring the hits All This Time and Fields Of Gold, put Sting’s name at the top of the world’s music tabloids.
