NICKELBACK

Nickelback is a Canadian rock band formed in 1995 in Hanna. It is one of the best-known bands according to listeners. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Chad Krueger; guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist Ryan Peek; bassist Mike Krueger and drummer Daniel Adair. The musicians won the love of fans with the quality sound of the music, the attractive timbre of singer Chad Krueger, and the profoundness of the lyrics. Nickelback is among the top best rock bands of the early 21st century according to Billboard music industry magazine.

The story of the band’s creation began with naming. Thinking about a name for the band, the members were leaning towards POINT OF VIEW, Village Idiot or BRICK. The epiphany came to the guys by accident. Mike Krueger worked in a cafe and offered coffee to customers for 45 cents. While giving customers their change, he would repeat the phrase: “Here’s your nickel back”. This combination of words became fateful. Musicians liked the melody of the sound, and so a new rock band was born.

Nickelback were lucky: they were noticed by the producers of Roadrunner Records, a label specializing in heavy rock. The next album “Silver Side Up” was released in 2001 and was presented under the terms of the contract signed with the musicians. The success of the record was resounding: it went gold, platinum and then multi-platinum.
