Biography

Panic! At the Disco is an American pop rock band. The creation story of Panic! At the Disco (short P!atD) dates back to 2004 in Las Vegas. At first it was a quartet, but now it is only Brandon Urie: vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. Not only the composition of the band has changed significantly over time, but also the sound: if at the beginning of their journey the guys were inspired by The Beatles and The Beach Boys, today’s Panic! At the Disco is a unique, unlike anything and everything at the same time project.

The guys uploaded their first demos – “Time to Dance”, “Nails for Breakfast, Tacks for Snacks” and “Camisado” – to the free PureVolume portal. As a joke, the friends sent the recordings to Pete Wentz, who was recording the album “From Under the Cork Tree” in Los Angeles with Fall Out Boy. And the musician, contrary to P!atD’s expectations, read their message and traveled 400 km away to meet the young talents.

The band’s first album “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out” was released in September 2005. In its second week, the album was bought more than 500 thousand times. Now this release is recognized three times platinum in the U.S. – sales exceeded 3 million copies.
