Duran Duran

Duran Duran is a British rock band formed in Birmingham in 1978. The band was one of the major stars in the world of the pop industry in the 1980s and 1990s.

The British synth-pop band Duran Duran was treated differently, some liked the pioneers of the direction of “new romantics”, some did not, but no one could deny that the popularity of the collective in the 80s was off the charts. At concerts, crowds of fans gathered, who behaved in accordance with the name: worshipping idols on the verge of madness.

The participants were attractive, stylish and bright, but behind the outer stage shell remained talented and extraordinary artists, for which they were called the “great five”.

In a short time the photos of cute guys, who showed their skills as performers, flew around the pages of glossy magazines, and in 1981 were used on the cover of the debut album Duran Duran. Thanks to the singles Planet Earth, Careless Memories and Girls On Film, the band members woke up popular, and their music was widely spread on the airwaves of leading radio programs.

Over the many years that the musicians have been on the scene, they have proven both through the quality of their songs and their dedication to their fans that they are worthy of all the accolades they have received. They are still just as revered now. In the fall of 2022, Duran Duran will be honored with another symbol of recognition – induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
