Jeffery Lamar Williams, performing under the stage name Young Thug, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. Known for his eccentric vocal style and attitude towards fashion, he first gained attention through collaborations with rappers such as Rich Homie Quan, Birdman, and Gucci Mane.

The career of rapper Young Thug began in 2010. For 2 years, the guy released a series of mixtapes “I Come from Nothing”. He was heard by the famous rapper Gucci Mane, who is also from Atlanta, and offered cooperation. He took Young Thug to his label 1017 Brick Squad Records and signed the guy to a contract in 2013.

That same 2013, while on the label, Young Thug worked on a new project and recorded his fourth mixtape “1017 Thug”. The young rapper was noticed by music critics and noted Young’s original style. His new collection of songs was included in the list of the best albums according to Pitchfork and in the 50 best albums of 2013 according to Complex. And the famous music magazine Rolling Stone placed the mixtape “1017 Thug” at number 5 out of 10.
