Tiësto

Tiësto is a true star of the electronic music world. His compositions are popular in different parts of the world, and his concerts are constantly full houses. Three times Tiësto was recognized as the best DJ on the planet.

Teis Verwest – this is the real name of the DJ, was born in the Dutch city of Breda on January 17, 1969. The nickname “Tiësto” is a nickname from childhood, a modified name of the musician, which friends pronounced in the Italian manner. Back then, no one knew that a harmless nickname would turn into a recognizable brand.

In 1994, the producer of Basic Recordings Beat happened to attend the young musician’s performance: he liked the pretentiously mixed songs and offered Tiesto a contract. The first own mix compilation “Forbidden Paradise” was a success with the public: Tiesto’s music was heard on English and German dancefloors in a few days – it was in 1995.

A little later the DJ met Arnie Bink, in duet with whom in 1997 the guys created their own label “Black Hole Recordings” and recorded songs together. By 2001 this record company had grown, and on its basis Teys organized his own division. There the DJ releases the best of his works under the brand “Magic Muzik”.
