Neta Barzilai, better known as Netta is an Israeli singer. She is the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 from Israel with the song “Toy”. A bright singer with an unconventional appearance, talented and with a sense of humor – Netta has everything that the audience loves so much. Her numbers are always a rousing show that lifts your spirits, makes you dance and smile.

Netta Barzilai has been following the international TV show “Eurovision” since childhood, but she dared to pass the competition selection only in September 2017. The vocalist came to the audition for the 5th season of the show “The Next Eurovision Star” and won by singing Rihanna’s hit song. The joy of victory was replaced by fear – the girl realized that she had won only a stage.

Her worries were in vain: Netta easily reached the final with her author’s interpretation of the world’s hits, beating hundreds of competitors. She was entrusted to represent Israel at the contest.

Barzilai chose a song called Tou (“Toy”), which was performed in the first semi-final of Eurovision 2018 in May. 2 months before the contest, the Israeli singer’s music video hit YouTube and gained 2 million views in 3 days. In a matter of days, the composition hit the top of the iTunes charts.

The phenomenon of popularity of Netta’s hit is multicomponent. In the rousing composition written by Doron Medali and Stav Beger, there was a place for the theme of tolerance, which is in trend today.
