Biography

Natasha Bedingfield is a Grammy nominated British singer and songwriter. Her worldwide record sales exceed 10 million copies. Together with her brother Daniel she is in the Guinness Book of Records, they are the only representatives of the same family, whose singles independently of each other managed to reach the top of the British singles chart.

At first Natasha was not very serious about music. After school she went to university, where she specialized in psychology. One year was enough for her to make sure that the prospect of becoming a psychologist did not inspire her. So she decided to devote herself entirely to her music career.

A demo cassette with her songs was to the liking of the management of Arista Records, and at the end of 2003 she already had a solo contract in her pocket. Events were unfolding at breakneck speed. Natasha traveled to Los Angeles where she showed her ideas to producers Andy Frampton and Steve Kipner. A team of composers and lyricists – Paul Herman, Pat Leonard and Guy Chambers, a former collaborator of Robbie Williams – worked on her musical ideas.

Despite the producers’ requests, the girl refused to change her name “to something shorter and catchier.” “Many performers leave themselves only one name, – says Natasha. – But it’s not for me. I like my last name and I have nothing to hide from others”.
