Biography

Little Mix is a British girl group formed in 2011 and winners of the eighth season of The X Factor. The band’s first two singles, “Cannonball”, reached number one on the UK chart. Little Mix are considered a new generation feminist band, as they sing for women and about women. They became famous thanks to their incendiary hits and bright music videos, in the heroines of which many women recognize themselves, which inspires them not to be discouraged and to fight against difficulties.

Little Mix was formed in 2011 in the UK. The future members of the collective met in the show The X Factor, where they came as solo vocalists. They failed to pass all the tests alone, but the judges gave Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Lee-Anne Pinnock and Jade Furwall a chance and gathered them in a joint project. The quartet’s lineup hasn’t changed since.

The group’s mentor on the show was singer Tulisa Contostavlos, who managed to lead the girls to victory. In the history of the show, Little Mix became the first female group to win the main prize. Soon the singers were TV stars and their single Cannonball topped the UK Singles Chart, but the test of fame was ahead of them.
