Kevin McCoy
Kevin Joel McCoy is an American singer, composer, producer, and former lead singer of Bad Boys Blue.
His father wanted to see Kevin as a pianist at church, his mother wanted her son to become a policeman, but Kevin McCoy’s plans did not coincide with his parents’ vision of his future, and at the first opportunity he went to Europe to become a musician.
Young and talented without being overly pathos, Kevin quickly found the right direction, and within three months he signed with EMI MUSIK GERMANY. He created music, performed popular songs in clubs, but brutal McCoy, did not fit into the musical groups of “sweet boys” but soon life put everything in its place.
In one of the evenings in 1998, in a club Kevin met Eric Singleton and Andrew Thomas, a member of the popular group Bad Boys Blue, who immediately offered Kevin to replace Eric Singleton, Eric had time to record rap parts to the new single remix Bad Boys Blue – You’re A Woman ’98. Dieter Bolen poached Eric Singleton to record Modern Talking rap remixes.
A session contract with Coconut Records to record a rap part under the pseudonym Jojo Max in the studio’s music projects (Bad Boys Blue, À La Carte, Sign O’ Soul), money did not turn Kevin’s head, he stayed true to himself, his priority was work, creating music, he believed he could achieve more and continued to work hard.
