Kelly Rowland

Kelendria Trinh “Kelly” Rowland is an American singer and actress. She performs in a contemporary rhythm and blues style and is a songwriter and lyrics writer. Kelly’s music is a unique, successful blend of R&B / Soul and rock to some extent. Two singles are considered hits on the Simply Deep album – the romantic Dilemma and the emotional and passionate Stole.

As a child Kelly met Beyonce Knowles. A little later, two more friends Letoya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson met on their way. A girl group emerged, although the girls sang more often while in the yard and in the beauty salon Tina’s Knowles belonging to Beyonce’s mom. After a while, the group, called Girls Tyme, decided to try their luck in Star Search. But luck, as it usually happens, did not smile on them.

Beyonce’s father Mathew Knowles, who is also the band’s lawyer, provided invaluable support and all-round assistance from the very beginning of the big road to the dream. The band signed a contract with the Elektra Records label. But this cooperation did not lead to anything. The next contract was already with Columbia Records. In addition, the band changes its line-up – Kelly Rowland, Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams – takes the name Destiny’s Child and releases its first album in 1998. Several years of dizzying success followed.
