Biography

Halsey is a singer with an amazing success story, surprising, colorful and outspoken. Fans call her the favorite voice of a generation, as she sings in simple language about things that are exciting but not openly spoken about.

Success came with her second full-length album Badlands, which reached number two on the same chart-200 and went platinum in sales. The album included the singles Castle, New Americana, and Colors. The first one became the soundtrack in the movie Snow White and the Huntsman 2. The second composition, in which the singer mentioned actor James Dean and fashion brand Balenciaga, was called by critics an anthem for youth.

The last song was addressed to Matt Healy, the lead singer of The 1975, with whom Holzie’s affair had ended by that time. The title of the album came to Ashley in a dream and reflected her state of mind and perception of her surroundings.

The newfound star received an invitation from Justin Bieber to record a track for his new album Purpose. As a result, her discography was enriched with the song The Feeling, which entered the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 long before its official release.
