E-Type
Martin Eriksson, known under the pseudonym E-Type, is a Swedish singer and musician working in the Eurodance style.
Sweden has given the music world many stars, including ABBA, Ace of Base and Roxette. Scandinavian singer Martin Eriksson, who became known under the pseudonym E-Type, has joined this stream. The tracks of the long-haired performer exploded the dance floor in the mid-1990s, when music in the genre of Eurodance was at the peak of popularity. Martin’s rhythmic songs with recitatives in the verses and melodic choruses illustrate what the 90’s discos were like in their heyday.
The first person to notice Martin’s developments was the famous Swedish musician and music video maker Stakka Bo, with whom the aspiring singer recorded a couple of tracks. However, the real fame was brought by the self-recorded song “Set The World On Fire”, which was released in 1994 and became the biggest hit of the summer, topping the charts and receiving gold status.
E-Type’s popularity peaked in the 1990s, but even now the musician is not sitting idle. He performs for a generation nostalgic for the inimitable 90s.
