Babyface

Pop artist
Biography

Kenneth Brian Edmonds is an American singer who rose to fame as the most popular rhythm and blues producer of the 1990s. He began his musical career in the late 1970s. In the 1980s he recorded with the rhythm and blues band The Deele.

Babyface is known not only as the author and producer of compositions that make the whole world sing in one voice, but also as a man whose name and creativity largely determine the success of a huge number of performers.

Real name – Kenneth Edmonds was born and grew up in America. He came to the stage not “from below” – that is, not from the podvortoni, with a cheap guitar in his hands – but “from above”. The thing is that until the mid 90’s Babyface managed to become one of the strongest producers, composers and arrangers of the pop world. His participation in recording guaranteed the success of albums of such “not weak” artists as Boyz II Men, Madonna, Tony Braxton, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Kenny G – I hope you have already understood that Babyface specializes in refined, well-paid rhythm and blues. Either the absolute “passability” of his works in someone else’s performance bored the master, or one day he simply “matured”.

Babyface’s wife Tracy Edmonds, who has her own music label Yab Yum, is also active in show business. Tracey, appearing on MTV, announced the release of her protégés – the group TENDORINI first single “Baby I”, the author of which was Babyface.
