Biography

Alessia Caracciolo, better known as Alessia Cara, is an Italian-born Canadian soul singer-songwriter. She is the winner of several music awards, including a Grammy for Best New Artist.

After graduating from high school, Alessia decided to wait with further education. Parents noticed the talent and supported her choice, allowing the girl to do what she really liked.

The singer continued to post her compositions on the YouTube channel, in parallel performing on various radio stations. The pinnacle of success was the radio platform 15 Seconds of Fame on Mix 104.1 Boston. Such performances continued until the adulthood of a young, but already very ambitious and motivated star. On her 18th birthday, Alessia received an invitation to sign a contract with the popular label Def Jam Recordings.

In April 2014, Alessia Cara released her debut single Here. Released on a major label, the record was a great way to make a statement. In addition to the star herself, producers Andrew Pop Wansel, Warren (Oak) Felder and Coleridge Tillman worked on the track. Cara put a significant meaning into the song, talking about how she hated noisy companies and carefree parties.

The song Here was immensely popular. Unlike many other debutantes, Alessia had significant experience performing on the airwaves of major radio stations across the country.
