Kim Petras

Kim Petras is a German singer and songwriter. As a teenager, she began recording music and later released her debut mini-album, One Piece of Tape.

In 2007, Petras recorded several videos of herself singing at home and posted them on the Internet. Her videos, which included her own compositions, were noticed by German music producer Fabian Görg. He subsequently signed her to his independent label Joyce Records.

In 2008, she released two more compositions, this time produced by Görg. The first track, “Last Forever”, was released online and became quite popular on YouTube and MySpace. A little later, in September of the same year, she released her first commercial single, “Fade Away” in the German market.

Joyce Records announced her plans to release her debut album. Petras is working on new songs for it.
