Ice Cube is an American rapper, actor, writer, director and composer. One of the pioneers of gangsta rap. Former member of N.W.A.

Ice Cube began his career as a member of the hip-hop group C.I.A., and later joined the collective N.W.A. (Niggas With Attitudes), where he performed until 1989, after which he began a solo career as a rapper.

At the same time, he acted in movies and for television, wrote scripts, produced and even directed films himself. He produced the sitcom “Barbershop”, whose main character was himself, and this sitcom was a success with the audience.

Ice Cube as a lyricist is known primarily for his extreme candor. In his songs Ice Cube is not afraid to touch actual political issues and rigidly states his civil position. In the list of the best MCs of all times and peoples according to MTV Ice Cube takes an honorable eighth place.
